　1、对于潜水泵
　　启动前应做一些必要的检查：泵轴的转动情况是否正常，有无卡死现象；叶轮的位置是否正常；电缆线和电缆插头有无破裂、擦伤和折断现象等。运行中要注意观察电压的变化情况，一般控制在额定电压的±5％范围以内。另外，水泵在水中的位置十分重要，应尽可能选在水量充沛、无淤泥、水质好的地方，垂直悬吊在水中，不允许横放，以免陷入泥中或被悬浮物堵塞水泵进口，而导致出水量锐减甚至抽不上水来。


　　2、对于自吸泵


　　应尽可能放置在通风较好的地方运行，以利于快速散热，降低电机温度。否则，长时间运行，易烧毁电机。如某农户在使用自吸泵时，由于没有拿掉覆盖在电机上塑料薄膜，致使电机过热，烧坏了线圈。另外，在启动前，一定要检查泵体内的存水量，否则，不仅影响自吸性能，而且易烧毁轴封部件。在正常情况下，水泵启动后3～5分钟即应出水，否则应立即停机检查。


　　3、水泵维修


　　当水泵一旦出现了故障，切忌自己动手拆卸。因为自己拆卸时，一是不知故障在何处而造成盲目地乱拆一通；二是无专用工具而往往损害了本来完好的零部件。办法是到有经验、有规模的维修点维修，并及时更换“超龄”零部件及某些易损件。正常情况下，水泵每半年应维修一次，杜绝带“病”工作。


　　4、非使用期存放


　　在非使用期，应及时将水泵提离水源，并空泵内积水，尤其在寒冷的冬季。然后将其放置干燥处，有条件的用户也可以在水泵的部位涂上黄油，在轴承内加上润滑油，以防零部件锈蚀。另外，水泵的非使用期，并非越长越好。如果长时间不使用，不但易锈蚀零部件，还会减少水泵的使用寿命。
